SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

I am so glad that you could come over today and join in the Super Bowl Sunday events!

Everyone can certainly guess that I am a Colts fam. How could I live in Indiana and not be?

My Sweet Barney, he is my guy, is helping me to cohost the party today. If you need anything please ask either one of us and we will be glad to help you out.

We have team spirit items representing the two Super Bowl teams playing today and these are for you to take with you when you leave.

Opus and Olive, my nephew and niece, arrived at my place in their MFV and in spite of the bad snow storms in the east on Friday were able to make the trip safe and sound. Opus lived in Indianapolis for many years before moving to Italy and could not miss out on being in Indiana for the big game today. They have volunteered to help me with the concessions today.

Help yourself to the refreshments and please go back as many times as you like. We are offering popcorn, nachoes and cheese, plenty of candy, hot wings, hamburgers, pizzas, sodas, milk, shakes, and plenty of beer.

Karl went to cheer leading academy once with the gang and thought he would put those skills to good use and help my team with some cheering! Nice to see that he hasn't forgotton all of that hard training.

Katie stopped over today in her Vikings team spirit helment! All teams you root for are welcome here! I hope your favorite team wins today.

l-r: Gracie, Barney, Opus, & Olive

My dear friend, Karl, dyed my fur for me today so I could be in my team colors the whole day long. Thanks Karl! I like my new look. We will be pretty much in front of the tv when the kickoff takes place and all of you are welcome to gather around the big screen with us.

My sweet sissie, Asta, arrive a little late in the game but her timing was excellent the team she is wanting to win has the lead right now. I think the Colts are getting tired or something because they are not playing well at all. There is only four minutes to go and it doesn't look good for the home team here in Indiana. Waaaah!

I am so glad that you came over today. It always fun getting together and visiting. Please stay as long as you like. Thanks for stopping by.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, booooooooowhooooooooooowhooooooooooooo! The Colts lost.
OK enough of that now on with the party.
Congrats to the Saints game well played!!

Thanks for inviting us to your great party. We don't know anything about Superbowl so we will cheer on your team, the Colts. Can we take a pair of Colts slippers home with us for our mum so she doesn't keep warming her freezing feet on us.

Kea said...

Canada tends to be more a hockey country, but we'll root for the Colts too. Besides, Mom's first love was horses--she had them growing up, so "Colts" is fitting. Oh, yeah, and Mom's all for the beer! :-D

Have a fun day and good luck to your team!

Virgil will be here later with Danielle - I think mom wants them checking up on us. The foos is so good! I just recently tried french fries and love them so I am glad you have some!

What a great party! And really, it is mostly about the food, isn't it? Least that is Mom's idea of a SuperBowl party. (they are going to one later and she is bringing a fruit salad to try in vain to offset all the bufalo wings, and ribs, and so on!). But you have a great flat screen tv for watching the game on when the kickoff comes.

Thanks to Barney too for helping you to set up your party website.

Purrsonally, although I understand your support of the Colts, I am kindof rooting for the Saints. Wouldn't that be a wonderful story for the comeback of New Orleans? So whoever wins, it will be great.

Gracie I nominated you for the Sweet Friends award on my blog.
