A Sunday Mystery

The folks here are not getting it! Try as might might to let them know they are not understanding me. You see

Photo Taken 25 September 2009

our house is shrinking. It has been happening ever since I moved into the house to become the inside kittie. It started out slowly with things getting smaller and I have proof. I used to fit in between the spindles on the stairs. I had lots of room to spare . . .

Photo Taken 9 November 2010

now it has come to this. I have to squeeze and wiggle to make myself fit and there is not extra room beside me. They just act like all is well with the world and nothing to worry about. I am thinking at this rate we will all be living in a doll house or something. Oh what to do!

And The Winner Is . . .

The Thankful Photo Contest held over at the auction to help Derry out with some vet bills has come to a close and now it is time to pick the winner . . .

. . . the mom wrote down all the names of those that entered the contest on a piece of paper . . . put the papers on the floor and carefully watched me to see which one I would pick . . . this was a great responsibility and not one that I took lightly . . .

. . . after careful consideration a choice was made and I had the winning name in my little paw . . .

. . . I wasn't sure if I should let anyone know because I knew this was top secret information that I had. The mom reassured me that it would be OK for her to know and she would then let those over at CB know so they could announce the winner . . .

. . . with that being said I let her see the name. And the winner is . . .  Be sure to stop over and leave your congrats.

I hope those that entered had as much fun with the contest as I did seeing your photos and finding out what you were thankful for.

The last week of Derry's auction starts November 25 and runs to the end of the month. So if you get tired of all the football games on tv head over to the auction and check out the new items that are up for bid.

Two on Tuesday

Sometimes happiness is right in front of you and it just takes awhile to figure it out. You see, I have been wanting a sibling so I could share in fun, playing, love, togetherness, snuggling, and everything that goes with having another furrie around the house. The mom and dad here just want to be a one kittie family so you can see the problem . . .

I enjoyed my visit with Hugo, the cute pink hippo, that visited with me the other week. We shared in so many things that after he left I missed him. It was then that MinnieME and I reconnected and have spent the last couple of weeks of spending lots of time together . . .

. . . I am not sure who came up with idea first but we both realized how much we cared for each other as play friends but we wanted to become sisters! We love each other so much and each of us wanted a sibling . . . and the mom and dad didn't have a problem with this idea . . .

. . . purrrfect! Why it took us so long to see what was right in front of us we will never know. We will be sharing the blog, adventures, and anything else that comes our way.

So, I want to introduce all of you to my sissie MinnieME. I know you will all like her a lot. Don't you think that we looks a lot alike?

TGIF & The Weekend Off

TGIF! Thank Goodness It's Friday!! Friday is such a great day of the week cause it's the last work day for the daddie. Then comes two days of us all being together and everything that goes with that. Sometimes it is quiet time, repair around the house time, blog for me time, company time, etc. But the one thing you can count on is that the mom and dad are usually around . . . what . . .

. . . I have just been informed by the mom that even though they will be home all weekend she won't be working for me . . . I say WHAT! She said she is giving me the weekend off cause I have been working so hard but I really think what she means is that other things are going leaving no computer time for me . . .

. . . I thought this over long and hard then decided that if you cannot beat them then join them. I will take advantage of the next several days and catch up on some zzzzzs. I will miss all of you but know that I am thinking of you and will be out and about next week for sure.

Keep an eye on the auction for me while I am away, if you have any questions check with KC, and don't forget to check out the details over at CB about week#3. Week #3 we will be having a photo contest. You are to send in a photo to me showing what you are thankful for. I will be on the lookout for those. The Thankful Photo Contest runs November 17-22 and you can enter as many times as you want plus we will allow photo shop pictures.

ps: Remembering today the family that is no longer here with us but still loved and mssed. Thinking of the furries that lived here before me making the mommie and daddie happy. They too are still missed but never forgotten.

Back In Time

I'm going back in time for today's post. Last week was so busy taking care of the mom and having Hugo leave I didn't get a chance to let you all know where Hugo, Barney's brother, was heading next . . .

. . . Wednesday morning started out with a heavy sadness in the air. Hugo had to leave today to visit another of his friends. Though both of us knew that he would have fun visiting other friends we were sad to see our time together come to an end. We did so many fun things this past week and have those memories to last furever. We watched out the window for the taxi that would take him to the air port . . .

. . . I decided to go to the airport with Hugo to help him get checked in and make sure that he caught the right flight . . .

. . . I stayed with him as long as I could. Then once we got to security we had to say our good bys. We both said that it wasn't a good by because we are friends furever and will stay in touch . . . maybe even another visit will be in the works . . .

. . . as I was riding home in the taxi I caught Hugo's plane flying out over the city. I snapped this photo and knew right there and then without a doubt in my mind I knew that him leaving was right . . . he was heading for a great destination . . . he will be staying with the Katnip Lounge kitties . . . be sure and head over there to see what they all are up to.

. . . I will say that I took to my bed for awhile as I was feeling blue after Hugo left. Boy I sure miss him but I will keep in touch with him.
If you would like Hugo to visit you all you have to do is leave a comment on where he is staying and the first one that does that will probably find him knocking at your door for a visit.

ps: If you need me in the next couple of days you will find me over at Mango's place. You see someone ordered a hit on him and I have gone over to give him some protection. Mango, I've got your back!

ps: Jan over at JFF is thinking of giving a review on a kittie liter but is confused as to if she should do this as she found out that the liter is made out of ground tires. She left a message over at CB for any input on this new product. It might be good for the enviornment but what about the kitties. If you have any information on this please let Jan know.

Need A Little Help, Please

My mom had minor surgery on her pointer finger on Tuesday making this week's blogging visits, how shall I say this, interesting. The mom had a big bandage on her finger making typing for her difficult. Her typing speed was way down and oh so many typos.

I tried to help the mom out and gave things a try myself but that didn't work out too goo. My paws kept hitting the keys I wanted and also the keys next to those making my typing errors worse than the mom. I even tried the think typing, that is where you think the letter you want and it appears, but that didn't work. I worked so hard at this that I had to keep fighting sleep . . .

. . . then I had an idea. My daddie has a computer and I thought I would get him to work for me. I went over to him and he was working on his stuff, which I thought was rude, but figured that when he was done he would notice me and ask what I wanted . . .

. . . well as luck would have it the phone rang and he got busy on the phone. He took so long talking that I had time to take a nap . . .

. . . I got so impatient that I even used laser eyes on him, thinking that this would speed things up, and he would focus his attention to me. That didn't work . . . he just doesn't get it . . I new that my best bet would be to keep taking care of mom . . .

. . . that way she would get her boo boo finger feeling better and would soon be able to work for me again. She could tell by the look on my face that I was upset about something but I didn't let her know that daddie ignored me, she wouldn't like that.

Mom is doing pretty good with healing and the big bandage is gone replaced by a band aid on her finger making the typing much easier for her. I won't over work her but it is nice that she is back to work for me part time. Now that Ihave her on being back to as good as new soon I am wondering how I can get the dad to work for me when I need him too.

ps: Please if you could vote for me in Hansel's contest the clickie thingie is up on my sidebar. There is one more day left to vote, thanks.

Nurse Gracie

I'm giving lots of love to the mom as she had minor surgery on her pointer finger Tuesday. She is enjoying all the attention I am giving her and we have spent a lot of quality time today . . .

. . . I keep checking to make sure this strange bandage is still secure, this has to stay on until Friday . . . her figner had a little cyst on it that was very painful so the doctor took it away.  The mom's finger hurts a little right now but she says that it isn't too bad. She says that my careful attention to making her feel better is helping her feel better . . .

. . . you can see that I have my paws full caring for her so I probably won't be visiting much this week. The mom's typing is down to a snail's pace and she makes a lot of typo errors with this bandage thing on. Know that I am thinking of you and hope you understand that my nursing skills must take priority for right now.

ps: I am entered in Hansel's Halloween contest and the voting is going on right now. There are two days left to vote and if you haven't voted yet and would like to vast a vote for my entry I would appreciate it. On my sidebar and the top left is the clickie thing on, it will take you to the voting place. Thanks
