Photography 101

I have decided today to offer a great hint when photos are being taken of you. You might want to get the mom or whoever is always sticking the clickie camera in your face when you least expect it. This will be lesson one, more lessons will be offered at another time. This particular lesson addresses the importance of the angel of the camea in regards to the subject and how the model can enhance the photo.

You can quickly see the difference in the two photos. Both photos were taken seconds apart. Notice how much thinner I look in the second one. A good model will stretch herself/himself as much as possible and also suck in the tummy area. Also if the one taking the photo puts the camera at a slightly different angle from the subject the results are fabulous. You can clearly see that the second photo is the most flattering.

You might want to try this at home and I think you will be happy with the results. Hope this lesson was helpful to you.

The mom speaks:

Gracie, those are wonderful tips! "A good model will stretch herself/himself as much as possible and also suck in the tummy area" ~ from now on, I shall do this.

No wonder you look so beautiful.

That was a good lesson Gracie, but I don't think you have a bad angle!

I think you look beautiful in both pictures, but I do see your point about looking thinner in the second one. I also like the way your Mom gets at your "eye level" often in pictures. I will have Mom pay close attention to these lessons. However I am hardly ever on the bed unless they are in it, so it is harder for Mom to get right down on the floor than at eye level to the bed. She's getting creaky, you know.

This lesson is surly helpful to my pawrents.
My dad needs to learn from this post, he always makes us look round: round face, round belly, round bumbum...
PeeS: Your photos are flattering, all of them!
Cheers!

Gracie you are the most beautiful ladycat no matter what angle it is! You are perfect in both pictures - with your gorgous floofy belly showing, oh my goodness! If boys could swoon, I am sure I would be (but I am too mancatly for that!)

Smooches!!

Also, humans need to photograph more from the front end than from the back end - aiming the camera at kitties from the back end makes our rear ends look big!

Thanks for that tip, Gracie. We're gonna try stretching because lately we're looking a little fat in all our photos. It has nothing to do with the fact that we've been eating more...

I wonder if stretching and sucking my tummy in will work for me.

Thanks for the modelling tips, Gracie! I'm afraid though, whatever angle the camera puts on me, it wouldn't help much.

You look very cute letting it all hang out, there!

That is great advice. We have told our assistant that takes the pictures about these instructions so our pictures should be much better from now on. But personally, we think you look good in both photos. Have a fantastic day.
