Mom

Update: It's been a long 16 days since mom had her first surgery. That surgery went fine and she was well on her way to recovery. But it all came to a quick hault. She had been released to come home and was on the road to recovery when on the 7th she could not keep anything down and was in pain, no relief was in sight. A trip to er was done and she stayed there for 17 hours. She was released then things got worse after a few more days at home. We think the er group missed the ball and on Friday night another trip was taken to the er and finally the doctors found a bowl obstruction. Another surgery was needed and she was admitted to the hospital for another five days. Needless to say she is pretty worn out. Mom is taking it easy and just concentrating on getting stronger each day. She still is not eating much. The dad here is a fantastic caregiver and is taking wonderful care of mom. I am spending a lot of snuggle time with her making she gets lots of rest.

We are taking things a day at a time here, sometimes a half a day. We can only ask that she gets strong and better with each day.

Thanks to everyone for your concerns, cards, and healing wishes.
