Steffano

Todoay is Squillion day and in celebration I wanted to pay tribute to my very own real Squillion brother, Steffano. My good friend coworker over at the auction block, KC, found him living in Europe. I don't know how she did it, but glad that she did, and before I knew it my very own Squillion was sent to my house as a gift from her. Steffano's Gotcha Day is January 2, 2010.

At first I didn't know if my Squillion was a boy for a girl. I soon found out he was a he. Yeah! I now have a brother! Since he came all the way from Europe I named him Steffano. I love him soooooooo much.

Steffano likes the snow activities that is offered in the midwest so one day he ventured outside and found everything covered by white cold snow.  He decided to take to the yard and see what fun things he could do . . .

. . .  I made sure to keep a watchful eye on Steffano to make sure that he was safe from any harm that might be out there. I remember from being an outside kittie that it wasn't always a safe place to be at some of the time . . .

Steffano worked long and hard building a wonderful snowkittie. He made it right outside of the window so we all could enjoy seeing it from the comfort of our nice warm house . . .

. . . he could not resist the high alps of snow piled at the edge of the driveway put there by the snow moving machine. After a long struggle with plenty of huffing and puffing, Steffano, made it to the top.

Steffano had so much fun while making his Snow Angel Squillion . . .

. . . to his alarm, while walking around in the snow, he came upon a deep crevasse in the in snow. Stopping at the edge and looking into it he was filled with wonder on how it got there. I tapped on the window and said that it was a paw print made by a deer. Thinking that this is something big and not wanting to be around when it came back he decided to come inside. I will be sharing more stories about Steffano as we do things together. It is so great not being an only, I have a brother!

Because this is Squillion Day over at the CB VSquillion Shelter there is exciting news!  As shelter keeper I am happy to announce that we have two new special VSquillions available for adoption. We have a large litter of Angel VSquillions and Missy You VSquillions needing loving homes.

Angel VSquillions to remember those that have gone to the bridge.

Missy You VSquillion to remember those that have gone away.

Adoption requests for regular VSquillions wanting a home with a loving family are also available. Head over to the shelter and start the paper work if you are wanting to adopt.

Happy Squillion Day!

A New Toy

I think I am the luckiest kitties in the world. No, I don't think I know I am the luckiest kittie in the world. My mom brings me home all kinds of neat things to play with when she gets back from the store. The other day she brought me this sack. I really enjoyed playing in it and I could hide inside of it and pounce on anyone that dared to walk in front of me.

After I was done playing in the sack I even settled down inside and took a nap. The mom tried to get a photo of me sleeping but I heard her coming so I ruined the photo opt. She told me that she paid nothing for this great toy. It was free. Pretty good deal huh?

Oh, tomorrow Opus is having a surprise sock hop birthday party for his sister Olive, who is going to be eight. Your invitation is right here so mark your calendar and tell all of your friends. Hope to see you there! The party will be going on all the weekend long!!

Sunday My Day Of Rest

I am so looking forward to a lazy Sunday after all of the excitement of the Cat O Lympics. I competed in the Snychronized Sleeping and Napping catagory which has completely worn me out!

The Cat O Lympics was such hard work with all of the training I had to do to get ready and the actual event itself was very taxing on a little kittie like me. So today I am going to catch up on my rest.

I have to keep my little paws over my eyes to keep the daylight out of my sleepy eyes, plus the flash of the stupid camera. She just won't leave me be but that is a small price to pay for such a great home. Just click away mom I don't even care today.

Yawwwwwwwwn the most work that I am going to do today will be to walk over to my food bowl when I wake up and get something to eat. After that it will be time to catch another cat nap.

Sounds like the most purrrfect day to me.

Beneath The Falls

NOTE: Do not try any of these stunts at home. We are trained professionals and do this for a living. Between all of us we have at least 5 months training in stunt work and have worked in the industry for maybe a day or two.

DISCLAIMER: No furries were hurt or maimed during any of these action photos that were taken.

Waiting by my bedside watching to see when I would wake up Karl, Olive, Opus, and Ruis stood watch.  Asta and Momo did the night shift and needed a break so they could rest, the next scheduled helpers are on duty. To see how things ended up this way you are welcome to read the two previous postings. Also, today's post will give you information that will get you up to speed on what and when things went wrong.

After seeing Gracie and Barney in a barrel heading towards the falls the gang all jumped in a barrel . . . and . . . well . . . you see gravity entered into the picture and we all headed over the falls.  Now it was time to do the head count and make sure all were safe . . . Karl  and Ruis . . . CHECK.

Dazed many thoughts of what could of happened ran through my mind, thus the first photo. Everything in life is a learning experience and since I am a young kittie I have a lot to learn. I now know not to take a barrel for a ride in the water when you are near Niagara Falls.

MimiME is willing to try it again but it took the gang about a half a second to all yell NO!

The Falls

Day two of our Valentine's trip to Niagara Falls with the gang, Karl, Ruis, Opus, Olive, Momo, Socks, Asta, Stanley, Barney, and I started out with some action happening on the falls.

Olive was viewing the falls from her room when she noticed something was in the water. She couldn't see too good because the object in the water was so small but she took a a look through a telescope that was in our room only to see . . .
. . .  a barrel going over the falls. She screamed for all us to get down to the falls asap to see what was going on . . .

It didn't take too long to figure out who was in the barrel as Barney and I were not by them on the land checking things out. We didn't want to go over the falls but I guess we just got a little to close or something. Before we went over the falls I thought of a saying that I hear my mom say sometimes times it goes like this, "Some decisions are made for you."

Barney and I hung on as tight as we could, I must say that our short lived lives flashed quickly before us, and only hoped for the best when we reached the bottom of the falls . . .

My MiniME, who must have slipped herself inside my luggage making her a stowaway, was soon in the water with her own barrel and just about to head over the falls when I heard her scream, "Wait for me!"

Our gang has this favorite saying that they like to say. It goes like this: All for one and one for all! I am guessing that they just couldn't resist the trip down the falls after they saw Barney and I heading over it so they all headed into the water with barrels in tow. I think before Barney and I got to the bottom of things I heard yelling from Olive and Momo but not sure because the roar of the water was so loud. Maybe my ears were playing tricks on me.

TO BE CONTINUED . . .

A Valentine's Outing

With Valentine's Day coming the gang, Karl, Ruis, Opus, Olive, Momo, Socks, Asta, Stanley, Barney, and I decided that we would spend some time at romantic Niagara Falls.

In the MFV: Olive Momo Socks Opus & Stanley sticking his head out of van

We headed into Canada in the MFV and game upon a really nice flea market that had a bunch of barrels for sale. Since we were going to the falls we thought it would be fun to pick up a couple of barrles just in case we needed one.

The gang checked out the falls from below watching in awe at the magnificant view and power of the rushing water.

We decided that we should check into the hotel.  We had reserved rooms with a fantastic view of the falls.

After checking in we all headed upstairs to our rooms. We had adjorning rooms and put the guys in one room and the girls in the other.

We took a little time to rest up from our long fly in the MFV knowing that when we left the room we would have a long fun day and it would go well into the night so rest was a must.

When we went back to the falls the first thing we did was to take a ride on one of the boats that took us right up and behind the falls. This was one of the wetest ride I have ever been on but the view was worth every minute of  being wet and cold.

Seeing the falls from behind it and in front of it we decided to use the magic carpet that Momo brought along and checked out the falls from above. Also, we did a little scouting which I cannot tell you at this time what we were scouting but you will soon find out.

At night for Valentine's day we were treated to a colorful display of fireworks over the falls.

Sweet Barney had the most purrrfect end to Valentine's Day. Instead of watching the fireworks display with the others he had special balloons, flowers, and candy waiting for me in one of our rooms and we watched the fireworks from the comfort of our chair. Don't you just think he is the cutest?!

This was such a fun day and the evening was so delightful but tomorrow . . . well . . . tomorrow . . . well there is a very scary adventure . . . you won't be able to guess so be sure to come back and find out what happens.

Wishing all of you a Happy Valentine's Day

Peace & Quiet?

Ahhh, peace and quiet. I think I will enjoy this time and catch up on some zzzzzs. I know if I cannot see the mom she won't be able to see me. This is the purrrfect place for sure.

What's that? What am I hearing? What am I seeing? I'm seeing the mom! How did she ever find me. I was hidden so well? Now the noise of the clickie camera is disturbing my peace and quiet time!

I really need some well deserves rest so I am thinking that if I come out and she can get her pictures of me she will soon leave and I will at last be free to rest.

She isn't getting the hint. Boy I sure hope the phone rings or something then she will find something else to do. Then I can get on with my beauty rest. Wish me luck!

Monster Slayer

I did it! I did it! I don't know how but I slayed the sidebar monster and then the comment monster. Maybe it was the evil eye I gave them or my mighty sword. Or maybe with the mom getting into the computer and making some changes, though don't ask her what she did, that the two monsters left. Oh I know what you are thinking and I see him peering over my shoulder. The third monster is always near waiting to take over my blog once again. I shall try my best to keep the control with me and not the monsters.

Oh I just wished that I knew more about what to do. At least for now this technique is working.
