HAPPY NEW YEAR

Opus & Roscoe

The Tabby Cat Club is hosting a remembering and celebration of those that have gone to the bridge.

Opus & Roscoe
How we miss you!!!

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies
that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

Christmas Part I & ZZZZs

~Santa's Helpers~
Today we are did Christmas Part I and the grandbeans arrived with the rest of the family. How time is flying by, our little guy is now 6 l/2 months old and our girl is 6 l/2 years old. These two just make every thing we do so extra special. How blessed we are to have them in our lives!

I especially have a great bond with our girl bean. You see all through out the day she makes sure that I get treats. What a good girl she is!! I am not sure about the baby yet. I haven't quiet figured him out but I am remembering when the girl bean was really little I did a lot of hiding from her. As she grew up she and I got a special understanding with each other. She knows by how I act when to snugglle with me and when to leave me alone. She was quick to lean that I love my treats and sees to it that I receive them.  I am hoping that our little guy will do the same when he is older and I can train him to do the same, that will mean double treats for me. Not a bad deal huh?

Wishing you all much joy and happiness this holiday time of year.

ps: Christmas Eve
A little too much egg nog???

Phew, I am worn out. So much going on this time of year. Think I will need a month of catching zzzzs to recover I am losing track of Christmas Part I, II, III, etc. I cannot keep up witht he humans so I am going to lay low and rest up.

Wishing you all a very happy holiday time and much peace, happiness, and blessings for the new year that is soon to begin. Love to you and your family.

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

There is a song that I hear around this time of the year and I have to agree with the words
~It's the most wonderful time of the year~

. . . it seems that each year around this time of year my folks bring a tree in the house and put lights on it, garland, ornaments, and poinsettia flowers on it. Then the mom puts this really neat shiny shear material around the bottom of the tree . . . looks really nice I think . . . I have given up trying to figure out why they do these things. I just make the best of it.

. . . of course I have to give my stamp of approval of things. Everything looked ok on the tree but I did have to remove the gold pretty material at the bottom of the tree . . . well actually I didn't remove it, mom did. She got tired of me running through things and trying to carry it away. Oh what fun that was while it lasted. I do hope she puts it back down but I am not counting on it.

Now if you get bored with playing around with the Christmas tree if you have one I recommend garland. Once it hits the ground you can have all kinds of fun with it. The best is to hide in it. Do you see me? Bet you will have to look really hard . . . there now did you finally find me? I'm in there.

If you get tired of hiding in the garland there is another fun game called crouch. You get on one side of the garland and rock your bottom back and forth, this allows you to spring into action when anyone goes by. You can attack whoever dares to go by you, gently of course, and if you are fast enough you won't even be seen.

I was having so much fun in the garland I didn't even mind that the mom got out the flashie box and took so many photos. It was like I was in a photographers studio. She sure was happy that I cooperated with the photo session, I usually don't.

Phew, I am getting a little tired with all of these new toys that I have. To my surprise I found the garland to make a really nice pillow where one can catch some nice zzzzzs.

Auction Purrrtraits

My niece, Olive, is doing purrrtraits, once again. To get one all you have to do is go over the CB Auction and make a $5.00 donation which you will need to make over at the auction. Once that is done Olive will custom paint (photoshop) your photo of your furrie into a purrrtrait.  A great idea with the holiday celebrations coming up. My mommie loves hers . . .

. . . the picture in the frame here is an example. There is no shipping involved just an email.

. . . this is a great way to help out the Random Felines and the Gemstone Family.

A Salute To All Veterans

~Honoring all of our Veterans~
Demilitarized Zone 1968

Giving thanks to all our veterans who are serving and served protecting our wonderful nation, especially my Daddie, and each and every day we are thankful that he returned safetly to our home. My dadddie served in the army at the Joint Security Area in Korea as a Military Police Officer. He served back in the old days when they had the draft and he had no choice about being in the army, he had to go away from my mommie soon after they were married, they had to be seperated for a long time as she couldn't go with him.

One night when my daddie had to go on patrol an angel was sitting on his shoulder and his life was spared when a terrible thing happened, four others were not so lucky, they paid the ultimate price while serving their country. To this day our family remembers that day and our hearts are still heavy with sadness for those that were lost that day.

I would hate to see what this country would be like now if there were no armed forces back then and now. It is unfortunate that the fighting is still going on in this world as peace would be so much better but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be near yet.

To all our veterans that have served, are serving, and those now up in heaven I give you all a big THANK YOU!

Outback Part II

If you remember from yesterday Olive and I went to the Outback expecting food and were surprised when all we found was a junk car and miles and miles on nothing . . .

. . . with our tummies rumbling and us wondering what to doo Socks showed up with some food for us, yeah! He will always and furever be our hero!!

. . . after our lunch and a quick rest our tour guide showed and we headed further into the Outback. We just love our jeep and the name of the tour place "Pink Jeep Tour", purrrfect I say . . . one the road we saw one of the Australian doggies, he wasn't too friendly but wasn't mean either. Just kind of watched us go by . . .
Graphic by Karl

. . . while driving around Olive hear some beautiful music . . . the tour guide forrowed the sound and were we ever surprised when we found our dear friend Karl and a group of the locals practicing their musical skills . . .

. . . Olive and I decided not to try the musical instruments but took the time to get to know the locals.  I myself was a little nervous as the little boy to my right kept sneaking up on me and would try to catch me. I am not sure what the name of this game was but I called it "Keeping a close eye out on the little boy. Olive hit it off with a really sweet boy, he couldn't get enouth of Olive and stayed close to her and gave her lots of tummy rubs . . .

What the Crock!!!! Hey, that my camera!!! Oh man, looks broken to me. Guess it is time to call it a day in the Outback and head back to our hotel. Don't even ask how the crock got possession of the camera . . .  you don't really want to know . . . it isn't a pretty story . . . I must say I didn't know I could scream that loud.

See you all back in the states mates! Thanks for coming along on our 2012 Blogosphere Trip. Hope you had as much fun as we did

The Outback

Hey! What the heck !! We are not quiet sure what is going on out here in The Outback. Olive and I decided to head to The Outback today expecting some fine food. Our folks go there a lot and I hear all about the wonderful steaks, cheesy fries, the fantastic chocolate from thunder down under but we don't see a restaurant in sight. In fact we don't see anything in sight except this old car.

The two of us are thinking we might be in over our furry heads so we put in a call for a tour guide to met us here and show us around The Outback. I will have photos posted later in the day after our guide gets here and takes us around.

Boy I sure wished I had packed a picinic basket for todays fun. Maybe the tour guide will bring one with him. Sure hope we don't starve or something!

Australian Beach~SUNday

 ~SUNday~

It's SUNday and since I always take advantage of this day to chill out and get lots of zzzzs Olive and I decided to hit the beach and have a lazy day. I took her to the beach that Tamir and I had scouted out last month and thought this would be the purrrfect place to be lazy and have some quiet time. We are going to rest up today as tomorrow we are heading to the Outback . . . what?! Did you hear some yelling?! . . . what the heck!! . . . what is going on?? . . . there is something out in the water!!!  . . . quick Olive hand me the binocularrs so I can see what is going on in the water! . . .
OMC! It cannot be!! But yes it it! It's Karl out in the water! What is he up to?? Let me get a better look . . .
Graphic by Karl

That's our Karl. I am thinking this isn't going to be such a quiet day after all but I would much rather spend time with our friends then catching zzzzzs, I can do that when I return home.

Oh, never fear that Karl is not in any danger as he and sharks have an understanding ~ they don't bother him and he won't bother them.

Note: No sharks were harmed while Karl was in the surf.

Ayres Rock Day

Today is going to be a great day here in Australia!

Olive and I are starting our day out early, so we won't lose a moment of this fun day, with our friend Kjelle Bus aka Charlie Rascal. We are waiting here, along with two of our tour guides, for our friends to catch up so we can head over to Ayres Rock. I am so excited as Karl, Asta, Angel Momo, Socks, Scylla, and Charlotte will be joining us . . .

front~l-r: Charlotte, Me, Scylla & Socks
back~ Karl & Ruis. . .

. . . posing for photos near Ayres Rock. I am holding up the rock with my paws. Strong aren't I. We are all excited to spend the day here. So great to be together once again . . . yet the fun begin . . .

graphic by Karl

. . . before we headed up the rock our guides gave us a personal tour of the area. We hopped, we laughed, and we we bounced our way around the rock . . .  I recommend everyone take this tour while here . . . not sure Karl would agree with that though . . .

. . . when we we reached the top and spent the rest of the afternoon checking out the beautiful view and having a picinic. Later in the day we had a rememberance ceremony for dear Opus, Roscoe, Momo, and Tamir. When our ceremony was finished Asta release four doves, it was very touching as being so close to heaven up there itmade us feel as if they were there with us . . .

l-r: Ruis, Karl, Gracie, Olive & Asta

. . . as our day comes to a close we all stop to take one last look at Ayres Rock. What a day we had! We laughed, we cried, we were one in our thoughts as we thought of our loved ones and friends that are no longer. What is there to say? Only that the furries find their way into your heart and when they leave you are never quite the same again . . . we remember all those that  have left us too soon.
