Beneath The Falls

NOTE: Do not try any of these stunts at home. We are trained professionals and do this for a living. Between all of us we have at least 5 months training in stunt work and have worked in the industry for maybe a day or two.

DISCLAIMER: No furries were hurt or maimed during any of these action photos that were taken.

Waiting by my bedside watching to see when I would wake up Karl, Olive, Opus, and Ruis stood watch.  Asta and Momo did the night shift and needed a break so they could rest, the next scheduled helpers are on duty. To see how things ended up this way you are welcome to read the two previous postings. Also, today's post will give you information that will get you up to speed on what and when things went wrong.

After seeing Gracie and Barney in a barrel heading towards the falls the gang all jumped in a barrel . . . and . . . well . . . you see gravity entered into the picture and we all headed over the falls.  Now it was time to do the head count and make sure all were safe . . . Karl  and Ruis . . . CHECK.

Dazed many thoughts of what could of happened ran through my mind, thus the first photo. Everything in life is a learning experience and since I am a young kittie I have a lot to learn. I now know not to take a barrel for a ride in the water when you are near Niagara Falls.

MimiME is willing to try it again but it took the gang about a half a second to all yell NO!

The Falls

Day two of our Valentine's trip to Niagara Falls with the gang, Karl, Ruis, Opus, Olive, Momo, Socks, Asta, Stanley, Barney, and I started out with some action happening on the falls.

Olive was viewing the falls from her room when she noticed something was in the water. She couldn't see too good because the object in the water was so small but she took a a look through a telescope that was in our room only to see . . .
. . .  a barrel going over the falls. She screamed for all us to get down to the falls asap to see what was going on . . .

It didn't take too long to figure out who was in the barrel as Barney and I were not by them on the land checking things out. We didn't want to go over the falls but I guess we just got a little to close or something. Before we went over the falls I thought of a saying that I hear my mom say sometimes times it goes like this, "Some decisions are made for you."

Barney and I hung on as tight as we could, I must say that our short lived lives flashed quickly before us, and only hoped for the best when we reached the bottom of the falls . . .

My MiniME, who must have slipped herself inside my luggage making her a stowaway, was soon in the water with her own barrel and just about to head over the falls when I heard her scream, "Wait for me!"

Our gang has this favorite saying that they like to say. It goes like this: All for one and one for all! I am guessing that they just couldn't resist the trip down the falls after they saw Barney and I heading over it so they all headed into the water with barrels in tow. I think before Barney and I got to the bottom of things I heard yelling from Olive and Momo but not sure because the roar of the water was so loud. Maybe my ears were playing tricks on me.

TO BE CONTINUED . . .

A Valentine's Outing

With Valentine's Day coming the gang, Karl, Ruis, Opus, Olive, Momo, Socks, Asta, Stanley, Barney, and I decided that we would spend some time at romantic Niagara Falls.

In the MFV: Olive Momo Socks Opus & Stanley sticking his head out of van

We headed into Canada in the MFV and game upon a really nice flea market that had a bunch of barrels for sale. Since we were going to the falls we thought it would be fun to pick up a couple of barrles just in case we needed one.

The gang checked out the falls from below watching in awe at the magnificant view and power of the rushing water.

We decided that we should check into the hotel.  We had reserved rooms with a fantastic view of the falls.

After checking in we all headed upstairs to our rooms. We had adjorning rooms and put the guys in one room and the girls in the other.

We took a little time to rest up from our long fly in the MFV knowing that when we left the room we would have a long fun day and it would go well into the night so rest was a must.

When we went back to the falls the first thing we did was to take a ride on one of the boats that took us right up and behind the falls. This was one of the wetest ride I have ever been on but the view was worth every minute of  being wet and cold.

Seeing the falls from behind it and in front of it we decided to use the magic carpet that Momo brought along and checked out the falls from above. Also, we did a little scouting which I cannot tell you at this time what we were scouting but you will soon find out.

At night for Valentine's day we were treated to a colorful display of fireworks over the falls.

Sweet Barney had the most purrrfect end to Valentine's Day. Instead of watching the fireworks display with the others he had special balloons, flowers, and candy waiting for me in one of our rooms and we watched the fireworks from the comfort of our chair. Don't you just think he is the cutest?!

This was such a fun day and the evening was so delightful but tomorrow . . . well . . . tomorrow . . . well there is a very scary adventure . . . you won't be able to guess so be sure to come back and find out what happens.

Wishing all of you a Happy Valentine's Day

Peace & Quiet?

Ahhh, peace and quiet. I think I will enjoy this time and catch up on some zzzzzs. I know if I cannot see the mom she won't be able to see me. This is the purrrfect place for sure.

What's that? What am I hearing? What am I seeing? I'm seeing the mom! How did she ever find me. I was hidden so well? Now the noise of the clickie camera is disturbing my peace and quiet time!

I really need some well deserves rest so I am thinking that if I come out and she can get her pictures of me she will soon leave and I will at last be free to rest.

She isn't getting the hint. Boy I sure hope the phone rings or something then she will find something else to do. Then I can get on with my beauty rest. Wish me luck!

Monster Slayer

I did it! I did it! I don't know how but I slayed the sidebar monster and then the comment monster. Maybe it was the evil eye I gave them or my mighty sword. Or maybe with the mom getting into the computer and making some changes, though don't ask her what she did, that the two monsters left. Oh I know what you are thinking and I see him peering over my shoulder. The third monster is always near waiting to take over my blog once again. I shall try my best to keep the control with me and not the monsters.

Oh I just wished that I knew more about what to do. At least for now this technique is working.

Snowy Day

It's here! The weather man on the tv yesterday was giving plenty of warning that there would be snow today and all the way through Wednesday. There isn't going to be a lot of snow, 6-10", but the problem will be the wind tonight and tomorrow. The wind is going to cause the snow to blow making it hard to see and also making snow drifts across the roads making it hard to drive.

I tried counting the flakes as they fell but there were too many.

I told MiniME, my kittie toy that I got for Christmas, that the mom would be staying home all the day long with us and that the dad would be working at home today in his office. We both like it a lot when everyone is home. If we play our cards right maybe the mom will take a nap with us. Oh, we don't really play cards that is just a saying.

We got a little tired while watching all the auction outside and decided to take a nap before the nap with mom. It is a hard working job being a weather kittie. Before MiniME and I started with the zzzzs I told her all about how I was an outside kittie once but that today is definately a day I am so happy to be an inside kittie and never want to go outside again. Life is great!

I am hoping that the mom might even work for me today. I have a lot of friends I want to visit with that came to my Super Bowl party the other day.

Bowler Award from Spot & Fiona

Oh, important and I need to share before I get the nap in. There is an award, first ever Bowler Award, for all that was involved with Fiona's Fundraiser Auction. If you were a bidder or donated those fantastic items that went on the block Harry & Fiona have an award for you. You will need to go over to their place to pick yours up. I also want to thank all that helped with the auction. We couldn't have done it without all of you!

Now it's time to rest.

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

I am so glad that you could come over today and join in the Super Bowl Sunday events!

Everyone can certainly guess that I am a Colts fam. How could I live in Indiana and not be?

My Sweet Barney, he is my guy, is helping me to cohost the party today. If you need anything please ask either one of us and we will be glad to help you out.

We have team spirit items representing the two Super Bowl teams playing today and these are for you to take with you when you leave.

Opus and Olive, my nephew and niece, arrived at my place in their MFV and in spite of the bad snow storms in the east on Friday were able to make the trip safe and sound. Opus lived in Indianapolis for many years before moving to Italy and could not miss out on being in Indiana for the big game today. They have volunteered to help me with the concessions today.

Help yourself to the refreshments and please go back as many times as you like. We are offering popcorn, nachoes and cheese, plenty of candy, hot wings, hamburgers, pizzas, sodas, milk, shakes, and plenty of beer.

Karl went to cheer leading academy once with the gang and thought he would put those skills to good use and help my team with some cheering! Nice to see that he hasn't forgotton all of that hard training.

Katie stopped over today in her Vikings team spirit helment! All teams you root for are welcome here! I hope your favorite team wins today.

l-r: Gracie, Barney, Opus, & Olive

My dear friend, Karl, dyed my fur for me today so I could be in my team colors the whole day long. Thanks Karl! I like my new look. We will be pretty much in front of the tv when the kickoff takes place and all of you are welcome to gather around the big screen with us.

My sweet sissie, Asta, arrive a little late in the game but her timing was excellent the team she is wanting to win has the lead right now. I think the Colts are getting tired or something because they are not playing well at all. There is only four minutes to go and it doesn't look good for the home team here in Indiana. Waaaah!

I am so glad that you came over today. It always fun getting together and visiting. Please stay as long as you like. Thanks for stopping by.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, booooooooowhooooooooooowhooooooooooooo! The Colts lost.
OK enough of that now on with the party.
Congrats to the Saints game well played!!

The Master Helps

I have decided to look as sweet and cute as I could and cuddled right up the the dad to see if he could help me with my computer problems. You see I think he is the master of the computers. Do you believe it but he was born way before . . . what dad? . . . oh sorry . . . I meant to say he was born before computers were even around. The first computer he had was in graduate school and that belonged to the universiey. He tells stories about this machine taking up half of a room. Wow that must have been some small room or a pretty big computer.

Anyway, the dad will look things over and also check the many emals sent from my friends on ideas on what is gong on and how to maybe fix things. I sure appreciate all the input. I am going to watch as he does this so if the mom gets into trouble again with the computer I will be able to show her how to fix things up.

This seems to be taking a lot of time. I am getting a little sleepy . . . maybe if I just close my eyes just a little bit I can rest but still keep watching what he is doing. Yaaaaaawwwwwwnnnnnnn.

I have a better idea! I will just take a cat nap and when I wake up maybe he will tell me that all if fixed! Thanks for helping me out dad. Hope when  I wake up all is back to normal on my lap top.

I am wondering if this post looks any different to you? You see the mom is on the upstairs older computer and guess what? The monster let her up load photos! Yeah! It's better than nothing but I sure want my lap top back. Enough is enough!

ps: Just kidding about the post looking different because of the old computer doing the work, I am just trying to be funny.

The Monster Is BACK!

I had a most terrible thing happen to my blog!
A monster took over total control!!
The it left!
Now it is back!
The mom isn't going to work for me today!
She said stick a fork in her, she is so done!
Cannot upload at all!!
When trying to post most of the time I loose my stuff!
HELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP!

Following Posted Friday
I have been having trouble with my postings and making changes on my sidebar since the mom stupidly added a counter to my place! When I tried to make changes in my layout the blogger monster wouldn't save them nor would it let me post. And my counter, arghhhhhh, she left my htlm code at their place and when we went back to see if we could get rid of it we fond that isn't wasn't something that we could do at their palce. I couldn't do it at my place as it wasn't showing up in my layout thingie as a widget! Many of you don't know it but my mom is pretty dangerous when it comes to the computer. She know just enough about things to get us into a lot of trouble at times.

I was in a panic as it seemd that the blog was in control of something not living in my house. It was affecting the other blogs that I needed to go into and make changes. We were stuck until the dad came home and the mom was getting more upset by the minute, I cannot even tell you how upset I was. The mom was mumbling and saying that we could be done. She wasn't going to start over with a new blog if we had to at this point. Arghhhhhhhhhh!

She was sending frantic emails out to friends this morning asking for help. When things looked the darkest, she was getting ready to walk away from the computer, she went back in and just started clicking on things. I think the blogger knew he was messing with a force not to be reckoned with and has fled my place. Yeahhhhhhh! The mom with her mighty sword slayed the counter monster and it is forever gone, never to darken my place again. I have put my paws down and said NO MORE COUNTERS!

Thanks to my sweet friends that had a slew of panic emails going to their place today. I appreciate all of the helpful advise that you sent back to me.

Pheeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww! I need a long nap now!!
