St Patrick's VSquillions!

I haven't been able to visit around this week and want to let you know how sorry I am about that but you see I have been busy at the CB VSquillion Shelter. We have a litter of St. Patrick's VSquillions that have arrived and all are wanting to find a nice loving home to belong to. If you would like to make an adoption head over to the shelter and put in your request!

House Trashing Party!

What: House Trashing Party!
Where: My Place
When: Thursday & Friday

I have decided after much thought to host a trashing party at my place. That will show the mom and dad for dumping me all week because of spring break.

I have been checking through all of the trash bags I can find to make sure there is enough for all to make a big mess at my place.

You are welcome to stay as long as you like and to make as big of a mess that you can.
Are you in our out?

Small Places

Why Do Cats Like Small Places?

The mom purchased a really good book about kitties and it has a lot of information on why the kitties do what we do and why. I have decided to share this book with you and will be doing posts in the future that will help the humans understand us a little better. The name of the book is Why Cats Do That: A Collection Of Curious Kitty Quirks by Karen Anderson.

"Cats are fond of closet shelves, drawers, baskets, boxes, and other hideaways because they feel snug and protected in smaller, defined places . . . A cat who is especially fearful or upset might be found under beds and sofas-the harder to reach, the better."

" Kitty's love of cramped quarters is why cats don't mind cat carriers. From the cat's point of view, if the humans insist on hauling them to the dreaded vet and back, please let it be in a sturdy, secure carrying case. It is the unusual cat who prefers to roam the inside of a car and kitty usually ends up under the seat anyway."

Now some of your kitties don't like the carrier because you are sooooo smart that you remember that this means a trip to the vet doctor. That is why you will become fearful and find that safe hiding place where the mom or dad cannot get you. Never go to the vet without giving the folks a battle first.

I hope you liked this information and it helps your humans who don't know everything that they should know about the raising of a kittie. My next post from this wonderful book will be about why kitties like high places.

Happy hiding!

Steffano

Todoay is Squillion day and in celebration I wanted to pay tribute to my very own real Squillion brother, Steffano. My good friend coworker over at the auction block, KC, found him living in Europe. I don't know how she did it, but glad that she did, and before I knew it my very own Squillion was sent to my house as a gift from her. Steffano's Gotcha Day is January 2, 2010.

At first I didn't know if my Squillion was a boy for a girl. I soon found out he was a he. Yeah! I now have a brother! Since he came all the way from Europe I named him Steffano. I love him soooooooo much.

Steffano likes the snow activities that is offered in the midwest so one day he ventured outside and found everything covered by white cold snow.  He decided to take to the yard and see what fun things he could do . . .

. . .  I made sure to keep a watchful eye on Steffano to make sure that he was safe from any harm that might be out there. I remember from being an outside kittie that it wasn't always a safe place to be at some of the time . . .

Steffano worked long and hard building a wonderful snowkittie. He made it right outside of the window so we all could enjoy seeing it from the comfort of our nice warm house . . .

. . . he could not resist the high alps of snow piled at the edge of the driveway put there by the snow moving machine. After a long struggle with plenty of huffing and puffing, Steffano, made it to the top.

Steffano had so much fun while making his Snow Angel Squillion . . .

. . . to his alarm, while walking around in the snow, he came upon a deep crevasse in the in snow. Stopping at the edge and looking into it he was filled with wonder on how it got there. I tapped on the window and said that it was a paw print made by a deer. Thinking that this is something big and not wanting to be around when it came back he decided to come inside. I will be sharing more stories about Steffano as we do things together. It is so great not being an only, I have a brother!

Because this is Squillion Day over at the CB VSquillion Shelter there is exciting news!  As shelter keeper I am happy to announce that we have two new special VSquillions available for adoption. We have a large litter of Angel VSquillions and Missy You VSquillions needing loving homes.

Angel VSquillions to remember those that have gone to the bridge.

Missy You VSquillion to remember those that have gone away.

Adoption requests for regular VSquillions wanting a home with a loving family are also available. Head over to the shelter and start the paper work if you are wanting to adopt.

Happy Squillion Day!

A New Toy

I think I am the luckiest kitties in the world. No, I don't think I know I am the luckiest kittie in the world. My mom brings me home all kinds of neat things to play with when she gets back from the store. The other day she brought me this sack. I really enjoyed playing in it and I could hide inside of it and pounce on anyone that dared to walk in front of me.

After I was done playing in the sack I even settled down inside and took a nap. The mom tried to get a photo of me sleeping but I heard her coming so I ruined the photo opt. She told me that she paid nothing for this great toy. It was free. Pretty good deal huh?

Oh, tomorrow Opus is having a surprise sock hop birthday party for his sister Olive, who is going to be eight. Your invitation is right here so mark your calendar and tell all of your friends. Hope to see you there! The party will be going on all the weekend long!!

Sunday My Day Of Rest

I am so looking forward to a lazy Sunday after all of the excitement of the Cat O Lympics. I competed in the Snychronized Sleeping and Napping catagory which has completely worn me out!

The Cat O Lympics was such hard work with all of the training I had to do to get ready and the actual event itself was very taxing on a little kittie like me. So today I am going to catch up on my rest.

I have to keep my little paws over my eyes to keep the daylight out of my sleepy eyes, plus the flash of the stupid camera. She just won't leave me be but that is a small price to pay for such a great home. Just click away mom I don't even care today.

Yawwwwwwwwn the most work that I am going to do today will be to walk over to my food bowl when I wake up and get something to eat. After that it will be time to catch another cat nap.

Sounds like the most purrrfect day to me.
